About Parkina

Parking you can count on, built in Addis Ababa.

Parkina is a parking marketplace for Ethiopia. Drivers find a space, book it and pay with TeleBirr before they leave. Facility owners list their garages and lots, and Parkina handles the payment.

Why we started

In busy parts of Addis Ababa, such as Bole, Kazanchis and around Meskel Square, finding parking often means driving in circles and hoping a space opens up. Many garages and lots do have free spaces. Drivers just can’t see them or reserve one.

Parkina connects the two. A driver sees free spaces and the price in ETB before setting off. An owner fills spaces that would otherwise sit empty, and checks drivers in with a QR scan at the gate.

How payment works

Parkina is the merchant of record. In plain terms:

  1. 01
    You pay Parkina
    with TeleBirr
  2. 02
    Parkina
    Takes payment, issues receipt
  3. 03
    Facility owner
    Gets paid

You pay Parkina

Not the individual garage or lot. You confirm every payment in TeleBirr.

Parkina issues your receipt

In ETB, with VAT shown. If something goes wrong with a booking, you have one place to contact.

Owners are settled by Parkina

Each settlement is listed on the Owner Portal, booking by booking.
